Robert F McLain, MD

Dr. McLain has been recognized for surgical expertise and innovation both nationally and Internationally. He has written more than 200 medical papers and book chapters, he is an editor for the journal Spine, and he holds offices in the Mid America Orthopaedic Society, the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgery, and the North American Spine Society. Dr. McLain has both completed and instructed in surgeon training programs for Charite, Prodisc, and LDR total disc replacement technologies, for SI Bone SI joint fusion devices, and a number of other innovative spinal technologies. His active memberships include the International Society for the Study of the Lumbar Spine, the Orthopaedic Research Society, the American Orthopaedic Association, and others. He has received a number of awards for basic research and clinical investigation over the years, and has been selected as a Top Doctor since 2008, and Crain’s HealthCare Hero for Clinical Practice in 2012.
