This is my girlfriend’s therapist who agreed to see us for couples counseling (which I think is fraught with conflict of interest issues, but I went). This therapist constantly interrupted me. I finally asked her to let me finish what I was saying. She reddened with anger and went on a spiel about Jews not being heard, needing to raise their voices, that interrupting is acceptable among “her people”, that I should understand since I’m a lesbian and a member of an oppressed minority, etc. What - ???. I told her I just wanted common courtesy, and I didn’t think it was cool to use religion as an excuse to interrupt me during a therapeutic session. She told me that what I said was anti-Semitic. Even my gf said I must have “triggered her”. Wait - aren’t therapists supposed to act in a professional manner?
Nuff said.
