I'd give this place zero stars if it were an option. I'm very much against the use of fluoride and unnecessary x-rays. I made sure to ask these people if that was going to be a problem prior to making an appointment. They said it was fine; however, when we showed up for the appointment, I reiterated that we do not use fluoride (it is waste from the aluminum industry and not fit for human consumption which is why swallowing more than a pea size can make one very, very ill) and upon them cleaning the teeth of one of my children, the dental hygienist told me my child had 4 cavities and smugly lectured me on the use of fluoride. She checked my other child's teeth and informed me of 4 more cavities. All of this was took less than 1 hr. We got a 2nd opinion, complete with x-rays that were now warranted. NOT A SINGLE CAVITY. In the age of information, there is no excuse for pushing such a toxic substance... and telling my kids that they had 8 cavities when they did not, simply to prove a point, is highly unethical.

Nichols charges extremely high fees for his service but it gets worse. He performs unnecessary dental work with unsanitary tools that may lead to an infection. His office staff is every bit as incompetent as he is. If you have insurance then they will never give you an honest answer about out-of-pocket expenses. You're just being a bother even asking about that in their view. If you demand to pay in full they'll agree to that and then later say you owe them more. The litany of excuses they offer will wear you out with tedium and lies.

Once you get one of Nichols' infections in your tooth, you would do well to have another dentist fix it. The reason for this is that, even though the infection was his mistake, he did it deliberately so that he could charge you and your insurance company thousands more dollars in fees for the inevitable root canal. In retrospect, what I first thought was an honest mistake was really just another attempt to defraud the insurance company and extort more money from the patient. It's apparent because once he realizes you're on the verge of figuring out his scam, he won't talk to you anymore.

They'll tell you that they called your insurance company. But when you call the insurance company yourself then they have no record of Nichols' staff calling them at the time they claim to have called except after they've maxed out your limit with their sky high charges for bad dentistry.

You'd be better off pulling your own teeth with a pair of pliers than setting foot in any of Dr. Nichols offices.
