Doctor has contract problems with Blue Cross Blue Shield, so we had to pay out of pocket. Doctor required a $200 advance deposit, which we paid, after many phone calls with doctor and our insurer. Finally, the doctor cancelled our appointment with less than 24 hours' notice. Our pediatric psychiatrist tried to reach Dr. Goins to explain that the appointment should not be cancelled but he was not able to get to Dr. Goins, given the short notice on the cancelled appointment. Dr Goins office did not put our appointment back on the schedule so our visit to our primary care physician, our several phone calls to both doctors and insurers and our $200 cash advance to the doctor accomplished nothing for us but wasted time and inconvenience. In the meantime, my son continues to experience problems that are causing him to miss 3 out of 4 days of school.
