This group is involved with fraudulent billing practices. My Mother received a bill from them for amount not covered by Medicare. She sent in her bill with Master card info to pay the bill. Month later she gets a past due notice. Since Master card was not debited, she then sent a personal check. Frost bank paid this check, but then Mother gets a bill from a collection agency. She had Frost bank call billing for APA and told them that bill had been paid and faxed a copy of the cancelled check. A few weeks later she gets another bill from the collection agency. Back to Frost (second time) and another long phone call to APA billing. Now once again ( Feb 13, 2015) she gets a bill from the collection agency. APA has cashed her check but will not credit her acount. I wonder how many other patients have had this happen to them ? (my Mother is 90 years old so is this a abuse of elderly patients ?)
