A neuropsychologist is a specialized psychologist that studies brain structure and function to determine its effect on emotions, behavior, and mental function. Neuropsychologists view the mind as an information processing device, and share the same perspective with cognitive scientists and cognitive psychologists. Neuropsychologists work in industry, forensics, and clinical settings, and treat patients suffering from nervous system abnormalities.
