General Practitioner

A general practitioner is a heath care practitioner who specializes in the prevention and treatment of acute and chronic illnesses, and also offers health education to patients of all ages. A general practitioner often can treat multiple health issues at once, and many patients use their general practitioner as their primary physician. Some general practitioners are also referred to as family doctors, and often work with some of the same patients for life.
