An Endocrinologist specializes in the diagnoses and treatment of conditions that are related to the endocrine system. They are trained to treat hormone imbalances, diabetes, thyroid problems, menopause, infertility and cancers of the endocrine glands. Endocrinologists work to correct problems stemming from over and under production of hormones or the body's inability to properly produce hormones.
