- Write the exact first and last name you think people will Google. If you are a doctor, lawyer, or another profession that people will search on, then add it to your name. For example, if you are a doctor, you can make your profile name: John Smith, MD. Middle initials are not recommended unless you expect people will Google you that way. Only use a title like MD, DVM, DC, ESQ, if you believe people will Google you as; “John Smith, MD”. If you just want your first & last name to be search optimized, then use that.
- When you write your “about me” text, the goal is to WIN search results for your first and last name. So don’t write; “I” am this and “I am that. Google doesn’t know who “I” is. Use your first and last name in the text you write. Such as; John Smith is VP Sales of XYZ Corporation. John Smith is married to Rebecca Smith and the father of Bobby Smith and Julie Smith. John Smith, loves to read, write and eat out. By including your full name in the text, Google will typically give you more credit for being you!
